Find Out Who Won the State Youth Award 2024 in Quintana Roo

24 young individuals and 2 youth groups from Quintana Roo were honored with the State Youth Award 2024 this week. The award ceremony took place in the state capital and recognized the recipients for their significant contributions to their communities. The winners were selected from a pool of 175 submissions by a committee made up of representatives from the public, academic, private, and social sectors. The committee was responsible for choosing 18 winners and granting 9 honorable mentions across various categories.

Each winner received a cash prize of 20,000 pesos, a commemorative statuette, and an official certificate of recognition signed by the Governor of Quintana Roo, Mara Lezama Espinosa, who also presided over the ceremony.

The "Academic" award in category A was given to Yoko Camila Ichikawa Salinas from Felipe Carrillo Puerto, while category B was awarded to María Marcela Cimé Ruiz from Othón P. Blanco.

The "Environmental" award in category A was won by Joselyn Aracely Juárez Villanueva from Cozumel, and category B was given to Juan Carlos Mayo Velázquez from José María Morelos.

The "Citizen" award in category A went to Iván Rafael Sánchez Guzychenko, and category B was awarded to María José Tejero Gómez, both from Benito Juárez.

The "Sexual and Gender Diversity" award in category A was given to Ana Juana Bautista Escamilla from José María Morelos.

The "Entrepreneur" award in category A was won by Sarai Lixxy Mecalco Baxin from Othón P. Blanco, and category B was given to Isaac Alejandro de la Rosa García from Solidaridad.

The "Humanitarian" award in category A was given to Heber Neftalí Mas Cob from Isla Mujeres, and category B was awarded to Eddie Israel Canul Rodríguez from José María Morelos.

The "Gender Equality" award in category A was won by María Luisa Magaña Trejo from Isla Mujeres.

The "Inclusive" award in category A was given to Ángel Adrián Nava Sánchez from Solidaridad, and category B was awarded to Andy Rodrigo Alcocer Ucan from Othón P. Blanco.

The event was attended by notable figures including the director of the Quintana Roo Youth Institute, Alma Alvarado Moo; the honorary president of the System DIF Quintana Roo, Verónica Lezama Espinosa; the municipal president Yensunni Martínez Hernández; the president of the Superior Court of Justice, Heyden Cebada Rivas; the deputy Omar Antonio Rodríguez Martínez and the secretary of Tourism, Bernardo Cueto Riestra.
