Chetumal, Quintana Roo. – The start of the last week of 2025 in Quintana Roo will be marked by hot weather, cloudy skies, and the probability of rain in various areas of the state. Civil Protection authorities have issued recommendations for the population in light of these meteorological conditions.
According to the state forecast, a low-pressure channel over the Yucatán Peninsula, combined with the influx of moisture from the Caribbean Sea, will generate partly cloudy to cloudy skies throughout the day. Intervals of showers with localized heavy rains are expected, with estimated accumulations of 25 to 50 millimeters.
Temperatures will remain hot during daylight hours, while dawn will be mild to cool. Wind gusts could reach up to 50 kilometers per hour, and the formation of fog banks is anticipated in rural areas, urban zones, and highway stretches, especially during the early morning and night.
The Quintana Roo State Civil Protection Coordination (Coeproc) emphasized the importance of consulting official meteorological bulletins and staying informed. Citizens are recommended to take precautions, such as staying hydrated, wearing light clothing and sun protection, as well as exercising caution while driving due to possible fog.
Regarding maritime conditions, those engaging in sea activities or small boat navigation are urged to inform themselves about weather conditions and respect current restrictions, especially in light of possible strong wind gusts or elevated waves along the coasts.
