Cancún, Quintana Roo — Quintana Roo’s health department is keeping fixed vaccination posts and mobile units operating across all 11 municipalities as part of its 2026-2027 winter vaccination campaign, offering free shots against Covid-19, influenza and pneumococcal disease.

State Health Secretary Jorge Gutiérrez Contreras said fixed posts operate at hospitals and health centers Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mobile modules are also set up in shopping centers, markets, parks and other public spaces, alongside house-to-house brigades meant to make the shots easier to reach.

The campaign began Oct. 12, 2026, and runs through April 2, 2027. It prioritizes children under five, older adults, pregnant women, health workers and people with chronic illnesses, in line with the criteria set for each vaccine.

Where to get vaccinated

  • Cancún: mobile modules at Soriana Rancho Viejo and Soriana Mi Plaza Héroes from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., plus outreach rounds in Villas Otoch Paraíso and Villas del Mar.
  • Chetumal: Plaza Las Américas, Multiplaza and Plaza Bahía, weekdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and weekends from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • José María Morelos: vaccination points set up in parks and community spaces.
  • Playa del Carmen and Felipe Carrillo Puerto: house-to-house brigades moving through neighborhoods.

Gutiérrez said he has been touring the modules to check how the rollout is progressing and to accompany vaccinators from the State Health Services.

Beyond the seasonal doses, the state is also offering vaccines against measles, rubella and mumps (MMR) and against measles and rubella (MR).

“Getting vaccinated on time can prevent complications and hospitalizations, and it can save lives,” Gutiérrez said. “We invite families to go to their nearest health center or module. The vaccines are safe, free and represent one of our best prevention tools.”
