Cancún, Quintana Roo — Seventy-seven micro, small and medium-sized businesses across northern Quintana Roo have received equipment and tools to strengthen their operations through the state’s Transforma Tu Negocio 2026 program.
The beneficiaries include 60 businesses in Benito Juárez, 12 in Lázaro Cárdenas, four in Puerto Morelos and one on Isla Mujeres. Women accounted for 53 of the recipients and men 24, meaning women made up 69 percent of those assisted.
The program operates through three tracks — Digitalization, Commercial Boost and Advertising — covering technological equipment, marketing tools, training, consulting and strategies to improve how businesses promote themselves.
Jorge Villanueva, director general of the Fund for Economic Development, led the handover on behalf of Paul Carrillo de Cáceres, head of the state Economic Development Department.
The support is intended to help the companies adopt digital and commercial tools that improve their processes and expand their ability to operate and reach customers, particularly in the municipalities of northern Quintana Roo.
