Quintana Roo Archer Wins Three Gold Medals

San Luis Potosí, Mexico — Quintana Roo athlete Héctor Sansores Cuevas has left an indelible mark on the National Master Archery Championship, securing a total of three gold medals for his state during the competition held in San Luis Potosí.

The 32-year-old archer represented Quintana Roo in the significant Recurve Bow competition, competing in the Men's Sub-50 category across both Indoor and Outdoor formats, where he exhibited his high caliber and precision.

Héctor Sansores Cuevas faced an intense battle for the medals, competing arrow for arrow against top archers from Querétaro, Nuevo León, and Baja California.

The first gold medal for Quintana Roo was won in the Indoor modality. Héctor Sansores claimed the national title with a score of 581 points, outperforming José Luis Martínez and Diego Ambriz, who represented the state of Querétaro.

The Quintana Roo archer repeated this magnificent victory on the outdoor field. There, he defeated Diego Ambriz of Querétaro and Saúl de la Cruz of Nuevo León with a total of 666 points, thereby earning his second gold medal of the event.

Upon conclusion, the Quintana Roo archer secured the national championship in his category, Sub-50 Recurve, after defeating Diego Ambriz of Querétaro in the individual round final with a score of 6-2.

This achievement occurs within the context of the New Agreement for Well-being and Development, promoted by Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa. The initiative #ANivelDeCancha is carried out with the objective of providing the necessary tools to the state's athletes through the Quintana Roo Sports Commission (CODEQ), under the direction of Jacobo Arzate Hop.
