Mexico City — More than half of Mexicans prefer using ride-hailing apps over traditional transportation due to safety and convenience, according to a new study by DiDi and Kantar.

The study found that over 50% of respondents choose mobility apps that offer hybrid routes integrating public transport with digital services. The findings highlight a growing trend toward connected mobility solutions that prioritize user safety and comfort.

Researchers noted that the preference for app-based transportation is driven by features such as real-time tracking, driver verification, and cashless payments, which enhance the overall travel experience.

The study also revealed that users value the flexibility of combining different modes of transport within a single platform, allowing for more efficient and personalized journeys.
