Jose Maria Morelos, Quintana Roo — State prosecutors, working with the Mexican Army, Navy, National Guard, and state and municipal police, executed two search warrants in this municipality and two more in Bacalar, seizing four properties linked to drug dealing offenses.
In the first raid, at a home on Calle 49 Jacinto Canek at the corner of Calle 50 Chilam Balam, investigators seized bags containing green and dry vegetation consistent with marijuana, a solid white substance resembling crystal meth, and white powder believed to be cocaine.
In the same municipality, officers served another warrant at a property on Calle 62 Ichmul between Calles 33 and 35 in the Vicente Guerrero neighborhood. There they found surveillance cameras, a two-way radio, a magazine with live rounds, and bags of green dry vegetation and white solid material.
In Bacalar, at an unnamed, unnumbered establishment in the Los Divorciados area, authorities seized several small plastic bags containing dry vegetation, possibly marijuana, and a white solid substance, along with a cellphone and surveillance cameras.
Finally, investigators raided a clandestine bar selling alcohol, located between an unnamed street and Lic. Miguel Alemán, also in Los Divorciados.
After the searches, agents sealed each property, which will remain under the custody of the State Prosecutor’s Office. The seized evidence was turned over to the Public Prosecutor’s Office to be included in the respective investigation files.
