Two motorcycles lying on asphalt after collision in Cancún

A collision between two motorcycles on Vicente Guerrero Street in the Alfredo V. Bonfil municipal delegation left one young man dead and a woman injured in an accident that occurred on Sunday afternoon.

Initial reports indicated that the young motorcyclist who died at the accident scene collided with another motorcycle, driven by a woman, who was injured at the intersection of Vicente Guerrero and Felipe Amaro Santana streets.

The tragic accident occurred around 6:30 p.m., but authorities from the Forensic Medical Service (SEMEFO) took more than an hour and a half to arrive at the scene to begin removing the lifeless body and order the removal of the two motorcycles.

Elements of the Municipal Traffic Directorate received the report of the incident with one fatality and one injured person in this part of the city, where there is considerable motorcycle traffic.

The first versions indicated that the young man, identified as Bryan and 23 years old, was traveling on Vicente Guerrero Street on a motorcycle without license plates, while the woman driving the other motorcycle, 27 years old, came from Felipe Amaro Street, resulting in the collision at this unmarked intersection.

Due to the strong impact against the asphalt, the young man lost his life at the scene. Meanwhile, the motorcyclist suffered multiple injuries and was treated by paramedics, who transported her to a hospital under police custody for subsequent determination of responsibility.

The mother of the deceased arrived at the scene, crying out her son’s name and pleading for him to get up in a dramatic scene, while residents of the area witnessed the mobilization of authorities.

The SEMEFO experts arrived at the scene at 7:50 p.m., when they began the process of removing the lifeless body and collecting evidence about how the incident occurred.
