Cancún, Quintana Roo — Correos de México has unveiled a commemorative postage stamp featuring the Nichupté Bridge, one of the most acclaimed infrastructure projects of the current administration. The stamp, priced at 11.50 pesos (about $0.60 USD), will be available at all post offices across the country and online through the Correo Clic platform.
The announcement was made during an event led by Violeta Abreu González, director general of Correos de México, and Quintana Roo Governor Mara Lezama. A total of 300,000 stamps have been printed, which officials say will “travel the world” as they are used on international mail.
The Nichupté Bridge, which spans 11 kilometers across the Nichupté Lagoon, connects downtown Cancún with the Hotel Zone. It was built to alleviate chronic traffic congestion caused by tourist inflows, reducing travel time from over an hour to about 10 minutes. The bridge includes a bike lane, a reversible lane, and a dedicated bus route.
The stamp is available for purchase by collectors and the general public, including at the new post office in Tulum.
