Mexican Bailethon in Cancun: Dance for a Cause

Cancun, Mexico — Music, energy, and solidarity will converge at the Mexican Bailethon, a massive sports dance class scheduled for Saturday, September 20, at 8:00 a.m. at the Cecilio Chi Gymnasium, located at Punta Pulticub 25B.

An Initiative with a Cause Leading Up to Teletón 2025

The event aims to gather 150 participants and raise funds in support of Teletón 2025, which will be celebrated on October 11. The activity will be led by 16 sports dance instructors, who will direct one hour of physical activity set to a mix of Mexican music, in the context of the patriotic month.

Registration will open at 7:30 a.m., and entry will require a donation of 50 pesos. Attendees are invited to wear athletic clothing alluding to Mexican independence.

Institutional and Community Support

At a press conference, Gabriel Aguiñaga, Coordinator of Federated Sports for the Sports Institute, representing the Director General Alejandro Luna López, and Verónica Torres, Subdirector of Public Attention for the CRIT Quintana Roo, expressed their support for this initiative that combines sport, culture, and solidarity.

Also participating in the presentation were:

  • Laura Aguilar Ortiz, Señora Turismo Internacional Oaxaca
  • Marisa Iñigo Fuentes, a pioneer of sports dance since 1996 at the Club Campestre
  • Marilú Hernández, instructor

Prizes, Surprises, and Patriotic Spirit

Those who remain until the end of the Mexican Bailethon will be able to win prizes and surprises prepared by the organizers. More than just a dance session, it is intended to be a solidarity event to celebrate Mexican identity and strengthen community unity in Cancun.
