Tulum, Quintana Roo — A man was shot in the pelvic area after resisting a robbery in Tulum. The incident occurred just meters from the park in the Tumben Kaa neighborhood.
A call came into the 911 emergency number reporting a person injured by a firearm projectile on Tepezcuintle Street between 18th Avenue and Selva.
Police officers mobilized quickly and, upon confirming the events, requested a medical unit. Paramedics from Tulum Hospital arrived, assessed the patient, and transported him to IMSS Bienestar Hospital to receive proper medical attention.
According to Isaac ‘N’, 23, originally from Chiapas, he was walking on Puut Street between Oom and Caalche in the aforementioned settlement when three individuals cornered him. After he resisted the robbery, they shot him. The injured man managed to reach his ex-partner’s house, where he asked for help.
