Cancún, Quintana Roo — A man was shot multiple times by two suspects on a motorcycle in Cancún’s Villas Otoch neighborhood on Saturday afternoon.
The attack occurred around 4 p.m. at the intersection of Novena Privada and Eucalipto streets, near a location known as “El Torito.” According to initial reports, the victim was walking on the street when the assailants intercepted him.
Police officers who arrived at the scene found the man lying on the ground with at least two gunshot wounds. Private paramedics provided emergency care and transported him to the city’s General Hospital.
Forensic personnel from the State Prosecutor’s Office collected several spent shell casings found at the scene. Authorities have opened an investigation into the shooting.
No arrests have been reported.
