Motul, Yucatán — A 25-year-old woman was found severely injured in vegetation along the Motul–Telchac Pueblo highway after being abandoned by her partner following a motorcycle accident. The man, who is married, allegedly fled the scene to prevent his wife from discovering the affair.
Incident Details
The victim, identified as Manuela de Jesús P. G., a resident of the Euán comisaría in Tixkokob, was discovered around 2:00 a.m. by municipal police responding to an anonymous tip. Authorities reported she exhibited visible injuries and signs of alcohol consumption.
According to preliminary statements, Manuela was riding as a passenger on a motorcycle with her partner when the crash occurred. After assessing the severity of the situation, the man allegedly abandoned her, fearing repercussions from his spouse.
Emergency Response
Paramedics from the State Public Security Secretariat (SSP) transported Manuela to the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) hospital in Motul for medical evaluation and stabilization.
During her hospitalization, Manuela confirmed to investigators that her partner had fled the scene due to his marital status. Local authorities notified Tixkokob municipal police, who contacted her family to provide support.

Authorities urged the victim’s relatives to file a formal complaint with the State Attorney General’s Office to investigate the incident and determine potential liabilities.
