Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — Mexican urban pop star Kenia OS drew a crowd of more than 45,000 people to the Recinto Ferial on Tuesday night, headlining the concert for the 33rd anniversary of the municipality.
Before taking the stage, Mayor Estefanía Mercado greeted the singer backstage, welcomed her to Playa del Carmen and wished her a successful performance. Mercado then watched the show alongside thousands of attendees who packed the venue.
The Sinaloa-born artist delivered an energetic set featuring hits such as “Malas Decisiones,” “Llévatelo,” “Mi Salida Contigo,” “Por Dentro,” “AyMami,” “Belladona,” “Una y Otra Vez,” “Jackpot,” “Kitty,” “Mamita Rica,” “Tú y Yo X Siempre,” “Ruleta Rusa,” “Toketeo,” “Bonita,” “La Invitación,” “Ojo X Ojo,” “Flores,” “Mentiroso,” and “Tommy & Pamela,” her collaboration with Peso Pluma that became one of the most successful singles of her career.
Prior to the concert, a drone show illuminated the sky with figures and visual effects, building anticipation for the main event.
The performance was one of the most anticipated events of the anniversary program, drawing families, tourists and fans from across Quintana Roo and the Yucatan Peninsula.
Kenia OS has amassed millions of streams, gold and platinum certifications, and national and international recognition. Her music blends Latin pop, Latin R&B, reggaeton and urban sounds, connecting with a new generation of listeners.
