Chetumal, Quintana Roo — A judge has ordered pretrial detention for three individuals facing charges of aggravated homicide in separate incidents in the municipalities of Tulum and Benito Juárez.

During court hearings, prosecutors presented evidence gathered during investigations to support the request for the precautionary measure. One suspect is allegedly linked to an armed attack in Benito Juárez, while the other two are being investigated for a homicide in Tulum.

The judge ruled that pretrial detention was necessary to ensure the suspects appear at future proceedings and to prevent any risk to the investigation. The cases will continue under the adversarial criminal justice system, with upcoming hearings to determine the legal status of the accused based on evidence presented by both the prosecution and defense.
