Isla Mujeres to Host ‘Battle of Titans’ Firefighter vs CrossFit Competition

Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo — The Isla Mujeres City Council, led by Mayor Atenea Gómez Ricalde, invites residents and visitors to the “Battle of Titans: Firefighters vs CrossFit,” a competition testing strength, endurance, and discipline in a spirit of healthy coexistence.

The event will take place on Sunday, April 26, at 4:00 p.m. on the Malecón Oriente (East Boardwalk). The Isla Mujeres Fire Department and local CrossFit athletes will face off in a challenging physical circuit.

All participants will wear full firefighter gear during the competition, raising the difficulty level while honoring the real-life conditions these community heroes face daily.

The challenge involves completing a physical endurance circuit, with the winning team being the one that finishes in the shortest time, demonstrating not only strength but also coordination, strategy, and teamwork.
