Cancun, Quintana Roo — Four people were arrested in the Supermanzana 260 neighborhood on drug charges during a joint security operation, authorities said.
The suspects, identified as Jose Mario N., 40; Maria Jenifer N., 25; Marcos Antonio N., 30; and Victoria N., 27, were taken into custody on suspicion of drug dealing.
The arrests were carried out by Cancun police in coordination with the State Prosecutor’s Office, the National Guard, the Mexican Army, and the Mexican Navy as part of Operation Blindaje Cancun patrols.
Officers seized 185 small bags containing a green, dry substance resembling marijuana, along with two gram scales and four cell phones. The suspects were handed over to the State Prosecutor’s Office for further legal proceedings.
