Isla Mujeres, Mexico — Irma Alviso Rentería has taken office as the new president of Skål International Club 723 Isla Mujeres-Puerto Morelos, marking a significant step for female leadership in the region’s tourism sector. The formal inauguration ceremony took place at the Hotel Atelier Playa Mujeres, where industry leaders gathered to witness the transition.
Maru Moreno, Second Vice President of Skål International Mexico, led the ceremonial proceedings and highlighted the importance of the incoming leadership. Alviso Rentería, who serves as Director of the shipping company CUNMARAN and holds a Master’s in Business Administration, will head the board alongside Salvador Bernal, Carmen Nicolás, Marissa Flores, and Malena Villegas, strengthening the club’s presence in northern Quintana Roo.

During the swearing-in ceremony, officials emphasized that Alviso Rentería’s presidency represents a fundamental advancement for female empowerment in tourism decision-making. Benito Juárez Tourism Secretary Juan Pablo de Zulueta attended as guest of honor and underscored the importance of collaboration with Skål International Club 723 for Quintana Roo’s economic future. He presented the promotional campaign “All You Can, All You Cancún” for 2026, describing tourism representatives as essential pillars for regional growth.

The celebration featured a four-course “Honor Meal” that blended contemporary techniques with regional ingredients.
