Cancún, Quintana Roo — A grisly discovery shocked residents of Villas Otoch Paraíso in Cancún on Sunday morning when dismembered human remains were found inside a trash container, prompting a large-scale response from local, state, and federal authorities.

Discovery and Initial Response

The incident occurred around 7:20 a.m. when passersby on Margaritas Avenue, between Arco Norte and Bugambilias, noticed plastic bags protruding from a green trash bin, containing what appeared to be human remains. Witnesses immediately alerted emergency services via the 911 hotline.

Municipal police officers were the first to arrive, securing the area and confirming the presence of the remains. The scene was quickly cordoned off to preserve evidence.
