Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — Prosecutors in Quintana Roo are asking the public for help in locating Héctor Montiel Alfonso, a 24-year-old Mexican national who was last seen in Playa del Carmen on October 18.
The State Prosecutor’s Office (FGE) issued a formal search bulletin, registered as alert 91/FDC/2026, in an appeal for citizen cooperation. According to the bulletin, the missing-person report was filed on October 22, four days after contact with him was lost.
Montiel Alfonso is described as light-skinned with a slim build, light brown eyes and short brown hair. He stands about 1.70 meters tall and weighs roughly 65 kilograms.
Investigators listed a distinguishing mark that could help identify him: a triangle-shaped tattoo on his right ankle.
When he was last seen, he was wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts with white stripes and white sneakers.
Prosecutors did not specify the circumstances of his disappearance or say whether they have any indication of where he may have gone after he was last seen. His last known location was in Playa del Carmen.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 984 873 0163, the number provided by the State Prosecutor’s Office through its Quintana Roo Search Unit.
