Gunmen Fire on Home in Cancun’s Paseos Kabah Neighborhood; Investigation Underway

Cancun, Quintana Roo — Authorities are investigating after gunmen fired multiple shots at a home in the Paseos Kabah neighborhood in Cancun, causing only material damage and no injuries, officials said Sunday.

Police responded to a 911 call reporting gunshots in the Region 222, block 05, of the subdivision. At the scene, officers found approximately eight spent shell casings on the public street.

The affected resident told police that the bullets struck the facade of the house. Authorities confirmed damage to the property.

No injuries or deaths were reported, although some family members received medical attention for nervous shock.

Investigators and forensic experts secured the area to collect evidence. The Quintana Roo State Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation to determine the circumstances and establish responsibility.
