José María Morelos. As part of the commemorative activities for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa inaugurated a didactic polyptych mural focused on inclusion and integration at the facilities of the Municipal DIF of José María Morelos. The work was created by children from the Center for Multiple Attention (CAM) and the Unit of Support Services for Regular Education (USAER).
Mara Lezama Highlighted the Talent and Creativity of Participants
During the event, the Governor highlighted the talent and creativity of the participants, who, under the guidance of Professor Ernesto, learned and applied the “cemento al fresco” technique to capture their work in a didactic polyptych mural focused on social inclusion and integration.
Mara Lezama emphasized that each element of the mural—stars, animals, and figures—has its respective name in image, which reinforces its educational and symbolic value, while recognizing the identity and individual effort of each child who participated in the project.
Message of Inclusion, Respect, and Recognition for Persons with Disabilities
Finally, the Governor congratulated the authors of the work, as well as their families and teachers, considering that this mural represents a great collective effort and a clear message of inclusion, respect, and recognition for persons with disabilities.
She was accompanied by the honorary president of the Quintana Roo DIF System, Verónica Lezama Espinosa, and the municipal president Erik Borges Yam.
