The Benito Juárez Municipality, in partnership with the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), is set to run the Medical Program Ocular Prosthesis 2025. The program will take place from March 26 to 29 in the Family Room of DIF Cancún. The initiative aims to enhance the quality of life for individuals in need of an ocular prosthesis.
This campaign is another example of the municipal government's commitment to supporting its community. Specialists from UNAM will be conducting evaluations and treatments for those requiring a custom-made ocular prosthesis. The Ocular Prosthesis Program will provide all necessary information, including dates, location, requirements, and how to access the benefits.
An ocular prosthesis is a medical device designed to replace an eye that has been lost due to disease, trauma, or congenital malformations. It is also recommended for patients who have lost part or all of the eyeball due to severe injury. Although the prosthesis does not restore vision, it improves facial aesthetics, protects the affected area, and can boost the confidence of the wearer. Therefore, it's crucial for individuals who could benefit from this device to attend the Medical Program Ocular Prosthesis 2025 sessions.
To be considered for the program, interested individuals should send a WhatsApp message with their personal information. Early pre-registration is advised as spaces are limited.
