Cozumel, Mexico — Thanks to the warm response from the public, the “Tribute to Cri-Crí” recital, promoted by the Cozumel Parks and Museums Foundation (FPMC), has been successfully presented in various venues across the island, including educational institutions and the Cozumel Municipal Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center, bringing music and art to audiences of different ages and in different forums.

The general director of the FPMC, Juanita Alonso Marrufo, highlighted the importance of these presentations, recognizing that art and music are fundamental tools for fostering sensitivity, inclusion, and social well-being, especially among children and people in rehabilitation processes, while thanking the institutions that have opened their doors to this cultural project.

The recital, presented by students from the FPMC’s singing workshop, under the direction of teacher Argelia Chacón Díaz, has been received with enthusiasm at each of its performances. Accompanied by Manuel Alcocer, who brought the beloved Grillito Cantor to life, the interpreters have won over the audience with a repertoire that evokes memories, values, and emotions shared across generations, garnering prolonged applause and displays of affection.

Alonso Marrufo emphasized that this type of activity aligns with the New Agreement for the Well-being and Development of Quintana Roo, led by Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa, by promoting a more conscious, sensitive society with access to recreation as an integral part of human development.

“Promoting spaces for artistic expression and coexistence strengthens the social fabric and contributes to the emotional well-being of our community. Culture and recreation also transform lives,” stated the director.

Finally, she reaffirmed the FPMC’s commitment to continue bringing cultural activities to different sectors of the population, promoting access to art as a right and as a path to building a more inclusive and supportive society.
