5 arrested in Bacalar kidnapping after victim’s cries for help

Bacalar, Quintana Roo — A routine police operation in the town of Limones, Bacalar, led to the rescue of a man allegedly kidnapped and the arrest of five individuals accused of unlawful deprivation of liberty.

Swift Intervention Prevents Further Harm

The incident unfolded when officers from the State Police, in coordination with the Mexican Navy, Army, and National Guard, were conducting patrols along Francisco Espinoza Street, an area with unnamed cross streets. Authorities heard desperate cries for help coming from inside an unmarked property.

A man pleaded for assistance, claiming he had been kidnapped and feared for his life. As officers approached, they witnessed an individual violently dragging the victim back inside the building, prompting immediate intervention to protect his safety.

Inside the residence, law enforcement found five individuals assaulting the man, who lay on the ground still calling for help. The suspects were subdued and searched, leading to the seizure of a loaded M4-style rifle and an unregistered motorcycle.

Suspects Identified and Charged

The detained individuals were identified as Isaac Izael "N," Davi "N," Gely Alejandro "N," Tomás "N," and Luis Gerardo "N." They were handed over to the State Attorney General’s Office along with the confiscated evidence for further investigation.

The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, received medical attention following the ordeal. Authorities have not yet released additional details regarding the motive behind the alleged kidnapping.

The case remains under investigation as officials work to determine potential connections to broader criminal activity in the region.
