Cancún, Mexico — During a press conference this Monday, Attorney General Raciel López announced the arrest of Rusbel "N", alias "El Talibán," aged 30, and Damaris "N", alias "La Tamalera," aged 32, in the Paraíso Maya subdivision of Cancún.
According to the report, agents were conducting investigations related to the homicide of Luis Alberto, alias "El Pelón," which occurred on October 26, when Rusbel "N" opened fire on them with a Glock 9 mm caliber pistol. He fired at least 12 shots without managing to injure any of the officers.
The officers repelled the aggression and managed to detain both suspects.
Investigations established that "El Talibán" is engaged in retail drug sales and operates for a criminal group in Cancún's regions 100 and 107, where his partner, "La Tamalera," also participated in drug sales activities.
Both individuals were placed at the disposal of a control judge, who imposed preventative prison as a precautionary measure while the investigation continues.
