PLAYA DEL CARMEN, QR. – The driver of a truck loaded with fruits and vegetables lost control of the steering wheel after one of the tires blew out, and the vehicle ended up overturned on Federal Highway 307, near Punta Maroma.
The incident occurred this morning when the driver of a white Nissan NP300 truck was traveling southbound on Federal Highway 307. Upon reaching kilometer 304, one of the tires blew out due to the weight of the cargo being transported.
As a consequence, the truck overturned onto its left side on the shoulder of the roadway. Several motorists requested assistance from authorities through the emergency number 911.
National Guard Intervenes After Accident on Federal Highway 307
Members of the National Guard arrived at the scene and carried out the vehicle recovery. The unit was unloaded with the help of another truck and subsequently towed by a crane.
The official report indicates that there were no casualties and that damage to the cargo was minimal. The products were transported to their destination by another vehicle from the fruit and vegetable supplier.
