Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo — The Municipal Government of Isla Mujeres, led by Mayor Atenea Gómez Ricalde, hosted a new edition of the Cultural Saturdays festival, an initiative aimed at bringing arts and culture to families in Ciudad Mujeres. The event took place at the Ejidatarios Plaza amphitheater, where dozens of families enjoyed an evening filled with music, dance, and recreational activities, fostering community bonding and strengthening social ties.

A Celebration of Local Talent

Organized monthly by the Continental Zone’s Cultural Coordination, the festival featured performances by groups such as the Semilleros Creativos de Danza en Zona Continental, the Municipal Jarana Ensemble, the urban dance group Flow Tribe, and Guerreras Fitness. Musical acts included Pedro José At Pool, known for his participation in Cántale a México con el Corazón, the duo Los Brothers, and the popular Banda Cancuncito.

Supporting Entrepreneurship and Youth Engagement

Beyond the artistic program, the festival provided a platform for local entrepreneurs, boosting the community economy. Activities for children were also held, encouraging early cultural engagement. Mayor Gómez Ricalde emphasized the municipal government’s commitment to "social justice" and the cultural development of Isla Mujeres’ youth through such initiatives.

With this monthly event, the municipality continues to position Ciudad Mujeres as a hub where culture drives social transformation.
