Cozumel’s DIF Launches Health Training Workshop for Families

Women learning health skills at DIF Cozumel workshop

Cozumel, Quintana Roo — The DIF Cozumel has launched a free theoretical-practical workshop called “Mujeres Unidas por la Salud” (Women United for Health) designed to provide families with essential health knowledge to respond promptly to medical situations.

The training is open to all and covers glucose measurement, blood pressure taking, vital signs identification, and safe injection administration.

“Mastering these primary care tools is essential to detect potential abnormalities at home and act quickly,” said Florentina Sabido, head of Medical Assistance at DIF Cozumel. She added that such knowledge strengthens prevention and allows families to respond appropriately while awaiting professional medical care, contributing to community well-being.

The workshop meets every Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at the DIF Cozumel Medical Assistance Coordination office and runs for three months. All interested individuals are welcome to participate.
