Cozumel, Quintana Roo — As part of the environmental commitment of Mayor José Luis Chacón Méndez, the Municipal Government has announced the youth environmental education program Seeds of Consciousness, which will take place from June 5 to 13 on the island.
Fostering Ecological Awareness Among Youth
Organized by the Subdirectorate of Youth Services, the program aims to promote ecological awareness and environmental responsibility among young people through educational activities and hands-on workshops. The initiative seeks to strengthen active participation in preserving the island’s natural environment.
The call is open to all young residents interested in acquiring tools to become agents of change in their community. Registrations are being accepted at the Youth Services offices, located on Avenida 115 between 5 Sur and Morelos, next to San Gervasio Park. Through this initiative, the Cozumel City Council reaffirms its commitment to empowering youth as drivers of transformation and sustainability, promoting comprehensive development with environmental consciousness.
