“Record-breaking Wednesday at Cancún Airport: International Flights Soar!”

Cancún International Airport (CIA) experienced an uptick in flight operations this Wednesday, with a significant increase in international routes.

The airport recorded a total of 489 operations on Wednesday, an increase of five compared to the previous day. Of these operations, 247 were arrivals, with 82 domestic and 165 international. The airport also saw 242 departures, 81 of which were domestic and 161 international.

Terminal 2 of the airport was particularly busy, with a steady stream of international tourists and locals alike. Many visitors to Cancún took the opportunity to visit the Maya Train station, not necessarily to travel, but to take in the sights and snap a few photos.

Despite the increased activity, only two flights experienced minor delays, and there were no cancellations. The delayed flights were American Airlines flight AA158 to Miami and Air Canada flight AC1884 to Montreal Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport. These minor delays did not cause any significant disruptions.

A wide range of airlines had scheduled operations on April 24, including Aerolíneas Argentinas, Aeroméxico, Air Canada, Air Caribes, Air Transat, Alaska, American Airlines, Arajet, Avianca, Avianca Costa Rica, British Airways, Condor, Copa, Delta, Flair Airlines, Frontier, Jet Air, JetBlue, Lan Perú, Magnicharter, Sky Airlines Perú, Southwest, Spirit, Sun Country, Sunwing, Thomson, Turkish Airlines, United Airlines, Viva Aerobús, Volaris, Volaris Salvador, and West Jet.
