Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — Mexican authorities have arrested a Canadian citizen identified as Gabriel N in Playa del Carmen, acting on an extradition order linked to a homicide investigation.
Officials describe the suspect as a priority target in Canada’s criminal landscape. Interpol investigators detained him on Calle 28 Norte in a coordinated operation that also involved personnel from the Mexican Navy, the Federal Prosecutor’s Office (FGR) and the Grupo Centurión unit of the Quintana Roo Public Security Department.
According to official information, Canadian authorities were seeking the man, and his presence in the municipality triggered the intervention of federal and state agencies.
The extradition order stems from a homicide investigation. The suspect was turned over to the competent authorities while legal proceedings move forward.
