Mexico City — Cadillac has unveiled a special-edition Escalade-V in Mexico inspired by Formula 1 driver Sergio “Checo” Pérez, with production capped at just 11 units and a sticker price of 4,099,000 pesos each.
The vehicle, called the Cadillac Escalade-V “Checo” Pérez Edition, was developed by General Motors México with input from the driver himself. The brand chose the number 11 for the edition in reference to the number Pérez races with in Formula 1.
Sales began Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2026, at selected dealerships. Each unit carries numbered authenticity plaques signed by Pérez, placed in the cabin and on one of the body pillars.
“We officially present the Cadillac Escalade-V Checo Pérez Edition, an SUV that combines V-Series performance with exclusive details inspired by our favorite driver,” Cadillac México said in a post on X.
Performance and design details
The Escalade-V edition is available in white and black, with dark accents on the body, special logos and sporty styling elements that set it apart from other models in the lineup. It also features an engine cover made from carbon fiber, a lightweight material used in high-performance vehicles.
Under the hood, an eight-cylinder engine paired with a power-boosting system produces a combined 682 horsepower. That allows the SUV to accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour (62 mph) in just 4.7 seconds.
The truck also comes with all-wheel drive, a 10-speed automatic transmission and a high-performance braking system to manage the power and maintain stability on the road.
Inside, a 55-inch screen combines navigation, information and entertainment functions. A 36-speaker sound system rounds out the cabin, along with rear seats that offer heating, ventilation and massage.
Limited run for the Mexican market
Production is limited to 11 vehicles for Mexico, meaning the model will not be available in large volumes. The special edition is part of the relationship between Cadillac and Pérez, who joined the brand’s Formula 1 project; with this model, the company brings that collaboration to Mexico’s luxury vehicle market.
Beyond its mechanical and technological features, the numbered plaques and the driver’s signature identify each example and distinguish the edition from the company’s other SUVs.
