Body Found With Signs of Violence Inside Pickup Truck in Cancun’s Arco Vial
Cancun, Quintana Roo — A body showing signs of violence was found Monday morning inside a parked pickup truck on the side lane of the Arco Vial, between Las Margaritas and Niños Héroes avenues in the Villas Otoch Paraíso subdivision, Region 259.
Neighbors reported a suspicious vehicle to the 911 emergency line. The C5 security center dispatched municipal police officers to the scene.
Officers found a black-and-silver Lincoln double-cab pickup truck. Inside the back seat, they discovered the body of a person. The area was cordoned off, and officials summoned investigators from the State Prosecutor’s Office.
Agents from the Investigative Police and forensic experts processed the scene. Preliminary reports indicate the victim had visible signs of violence, though authorities have not yet said whether the injuries were caused by a firearm, a knife, or another object.
The body was taken to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) for an autopsy. The State Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation to identify the victim and determine the circumstances of the death.
