Playa del Carmen – Federal and state authorities are working at full speed to finalize a new delivery of property titles to residents of Colonia Colosio. The event will take place publicly on a date that has yet to be determined.
This was announced by Susana Hurtado Vallejo, technical advisor to the Municipal Presidency of Playa del Carmen. She explained that people who were pending from previous processes will be integrated into a new regularization program, with the goal of guaranteeing them legal certainty regarding their property.
The official recalled that during the government of former president Andrés Manuel López Obrador, a first delivery of titles was carried out in this neighborhood. However, there is still a considerable number of families who did not receive the document and continue waiting.
Although land regularization is a matter of federal jurisdiction, with support from the state government, the Playa del Carmen City Council has played a key role. According to Hurtado Vallejo, the municipality has directly assisted citizens, directing them to the appropriate agencies and providing timely follow-up on their procedures.
“The governor herself has indicated, through municipal president Estefanía Mercado, that there will be another program. At this moment, intensive work is being done to achieve a delivery at a public event, just as occurred previously with President López Obrador, for all the people who are still missing,” declared the advisor.
