Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Quintana Roo — The State Attorney General’s Office reported that during an operation resulting from an armed confrontation, elements of the Interinstitutional Group neutralized Miguel “N”, alias “Casilda”, the alleged plaza boss of a violence-generating gang dedicated to drug dealing and extortion in this municipality.
Weapons, Cartridges, and Magazines Seized
During the operation, which also resulted in the arrest of a male member of the same criminal group, personnel from the Investigation Police of this Social Representation, the National Defense Secretariat, the Navy Secretariat, the National Guard, as well as state and municipal police participated. They seized seven long firearms: six caliber 0.223 mm and one caliber 7.62 mm known as a “cuerno de chivo” (AK-47), four short firearms caliber 0.9 mm, fragmentation grenades, loaded magazines, tire puncturing devices, vests, and tactical accessories.
They also seized two vehicles: a black Jetta and a white Virtus, the latter allegedly linked to various acts of deprivation of liberty.
Was a Priority Target of the State Criminal Atlas
It is worth mentioning that the neutralized male was considered a priority target of the State Criminal Atlas. Consequently, he had a reward file for 700,000 pesos since September 19 of the current year for anyone providing effective and reliable information contributing to his capture. He is the alleged perpetrator of several homicides and disappearances of persons and had an active arrest warrant for those crimes.
This Social Representation will continue to inform about the progress of the operation while reinforcing its commitment to zero impunity and pursuing lawbreakers to bring them to justice.
