AGEPRO to Hold Land Regularization Workshop in Francisco May on June 30

Officials at a land regularization workshop in Francisco May, Quintana Roo

Francisco May, Quintana Roo — The Quintana Roo Agency for Strategic Projects (AGEPRO) will hold a land regularization workshop on June 30, 2026, in the community of Francisco May, located in the mainland area of Isla Mujeres municipality. The event aims to provide advice, review case files, and streamline procedures to give legal certainty to families in Isla Mujeres and Benito Juárez.

The workshop will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Rancho Oriental facility, located at Agricultural Zone kilometer 19.3. Specialized staff will offer personalized guidance for those seeking to regularize their land and obtain the necessary documentation to legally prove property ownership.

The initiative is part of the state government’s efforts to strengthen families’ property security through more accessible administrative processes. AGEPRO noted that citizens can receive advice on the status of their files, learn about pending requirements, and get technical support to properly compile the required documents.

The agency emphasized that such activities aim to reduce the backlog in land regularization, facilitate access to government procedures, and provide legal certainty to those who have occupied a plot for years without proper documentation.

These actions are part of the New Agreement for the Well-being and Development of Quintana Roo, a strategy promoted by Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa to strengthen social justice and help more families legally consolidate their property.

Who Can Attend

The workshop is primarily aimed at residents of Isla Mujeres and Benito Juárez who have pending land regularization procedures. AGEPRO staff will review each case individually and guide participants on the steps to follow, including any additional documents needed.

Authorities urged those with incomplete files or who wish to start the regularization process to take advantage of this direct assistance to avoid later trips and speed up document processing.

Required Documents

Participants must bring documents proving land possession, including original ownership documents and, if available, payment receipts related to the plot. A topographic map with UTM coordinates is also required to precisely identify the land’s location and facilitate its inclusion in the regularization process.

Personal documents needed include:

  • Tax ID (RFC)
  • Updated CURP (population registry code)
  • Birth certificate
  • Recent proof of address
  • Official ID (INE)
  • Marriage certificate, if applicable

Complete files will help speed up the technical and administrative review by AGEPRO.

Location and Time

The workshop will take place on June 30 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Rancho Oriental facility, Agricultural Zone kilometer 19.3, in Francisco May, Isla Mujeres mainland area.

Authorities invited families from Isla Mujeres and Benito Juárez to arrive early with all required documents to take advantage of this free guidance workshop, which seeks to strengthen legal security for family property and facilitate access to land regularization processes in Quintana Roo.
