Two women were rushed to a hospital in Chetumal following a hit-and-run incident. The driver responsible for the accident fled the scene immediately after hitting the women. The incident took place on Bicentenario Avenue, en route to the town of Calderitas.
The victims, aged 35 and 20, were walking towards the town when they were struck by the vehicle. The driver was reportedly driving recklessly and left the scene without offering any assistance.
A witness to the accident quickly contacted the authorities via the emergency number 911. This prompt action allowed for a swift response from the police. Paramedics were dispatched to the scene and provided initial medical treatment to the victims.
Following this, the women were transported to the nearest hospital for specialized medical care. Meanwhile, agents from the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) have launched an investigation to identify and locate the driver responsible for the hit-and-run.
