Holbox, Quintana Roo — Authorities arrested a woman identified as Soledad “N” on Holbox Island on suspicion of drug possession following a coordinated operation involving federal, state, and local security forces.
Officers from the Centurion Group of the Public Security Department, along with personnel from the Mexican Navy, the Mexican Army, and the National Guard, spotted the woman handling several transparent plastic bags containing a green substance resembling marijuana, officials said.
The arrest took place on Paseo Kuka Street between Palomino and Tiburon Ballena, in block 164, lot 4, where agents conducted an inspection.
During the search, authorities seized a black bag containing 60 ziploc bags with the same substance, a cell phone, and a 200 Mexican peso bill.
Soledad “N” was handed over to the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Drug Dealing, which will determine her legal status.
