Cancún, Mexico — A report of gunfire in Supermanzana 255 prompted a rapid response from state and naval law enforcement early Saturday morning, resulting in the arrest of two young men suspected of involvement in the incident.
Swift Police Action
Authorities were mobilized to the La Joya neighborhood following reports of firearm discharges. Witnesses in the area identified the suspects as two individuals riding a white motorcycle.
Investigators conducted patrols and reviewed security camera footage, which led them to locate the suspects traveling along Págalo Avenue in the Galaxias del Sol area. The motorcycle matched the description provided by witnesses, prompting officers to detain the pair.
Suspects Handed Over to Prosecutors
The two individuals, who appeared to be minors, were taken into custody and turned over to the Ministry of Public for further investigation. Authorities have not yet disclosed additional details about the suspects or possible motives behind the shooting.
