Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Quintana Roo — Two young brothers were abducted in the early hours of this morning in the Tihosuco municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto. According to witnesses, the abduction was carried out by five individuals with a military appearance who broke into a residence and forcibly took “Manuel” and “Jorge,” aged 19 and 24 respectively.
The armed commando is reported to have carried out the abduction around 5:00 a.m. before fleeing in a white pickup truck on the highway leading to the municipal seat of Felipe Carrillo Puerto. Family members contacted Emergency 911 for assistance.
Despite police operations launched in response, authorities were unable to locate the armed group. The relatives, who went to the State Attorney General’s Office to file a formal complaint, stated they do not know the reason for the abduction.
As of this now, both brothers remain missing.
