On Saturday, local authorities discovered a body in the trunk of an abandoned taxi on Highway 307, near the small town of Chan Chemuyil, within the Tulum municipality. The taxi, identified as number 57 from the 'Lázaro Cárdenas del Río' union, contained a body wrapped in a black bag.
While the victim's identity has not yet been confirmed, initial investigations suggest this is a homicide case. It is currently unclear whether the body found is that of the taxi driver.
Authorities have cordoned off the area to conduct necessary procedures and continue with their investigations. This information is preliminary and the photo provided is illustrative.
