Tulum, Quintana Roo — Three men were arrested in separate operations across Tulum on Friday, accused of selling narcotics, as state and federal authorities intensified efforts against drug dealing in the area.

Agents from the Quintana Roo State Prosecutor’s Office, working with the Mexican Army and municipal police, carried out the arrests as part of ongoing investigations and surveillance operations targeting street-level drug sales.

The first arrest occurred at the intersection of Ixchel and Sayil streets, where officers detained Elías Martín “N” after allegedly observing him handling multiple doses of drugs. A search yielded dried plant matter resembling marijuana, pills similar to ecstasy, white powder suspected to be cocaine, and a cell phone.

Hours later, in the Maya Pax neighborhood, Julián Adahir “N” was stopped at the corner of Centauro and Sagitario streets. Police found suspected marijuana, a granular substance resembling crystal meth, and a mobile phone.

The third arrest took place in the La Veleta neighborhood, where Jesús Alberto “N” was taken into custody. Authorities said they seized various substances believed to be marijuana, crack cocaine, crystal meth, cocaine, tusi (pink cocaine), molly, and ecstasy pills, along with other evidence.

All three suspects were handed over to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, which opened investigation files for probable involvement in health crimes related to drug dealing.

A judge ordered pretrial detention for the three men while investigations continue and criminal proceedings move forward.
