Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — A taxi driver fled the scene after hitting a young man riding an electric scooter on Monday evening, leaving the victim with serious injuries.
The incident occurred on Luis Donaldo Colosio Avenue near 40th Avenue in the Colosio neighborhood. According to initial reports, the young man was traveling north to south and allegedly failed to take proper precautions when merging onto Colosio Avenue.
