Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo — A coordinated operation involving federal, state, and municipal security forces led to the arrest of five people, including two minors, and the seizure of various drugs during simultaneous raids on two properties in Playa del Carmen and Puerto Morelos.

Agents from the State Prosecutor’s Office, supported by the Mexican Army, the National Guard, and local police, executed search warrants at two homes in northern Quintana Roo.

The first raid took place at a house on Avenida Búhos and Calle Zanate Mexicano in the Villas del Sol neighborhood of Playa del Carmen. Officers seized green, dry plant material resembling marijuana, a white solid substance, a crystalline material, and a blue crystalline substance. Laboratory analysis will determine the exact composition of the drugs.

At the scene, authorities detained Kevin Rubén “N,” Carlos Uriel “N,” and Paula Ivette “N,” who were allegedly carrying doses of dried herbs. Two minors were also taken into custody and handed over to the specialized prosecutor’s office. The three adults were turned over to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, which will determine their legal status within the constitutional deadline.

Simultaneously, a second raid was carried out at a home on Calle Tapir, between Avenidas Timón and Joaquín Cetina Gazca, in the Villas Morelos neighborhood of Puerto Morelos. There, officers seized white granular substances and dried plant material.

After the searches, officials placed seals on both properties, which remain under official custody as investigations continue. The seized evidence has been added to the case files opened for these incidents.
