León, Guanajuato — Quintana Roo’s delegation added a bronze medal in synchronized platform diving at the CONADE 2026 National Olympiad, held at the León 1 Aquatic Center.
The duo of Mayli Valeria Ramírez Dinorin and Daniela Hernández Alducin delivered a consistent performance across five rounds in the Group A category, combining difficulty with precise execution. Their coordination in the air and clean entries into the water earned them a final score of 184.74 points, securing third place nationally.
The pair also competed in the 3-meter synchronized springboard event, finishing fifth with 181.71 points.
With this result, Quintana Roo now holds three medals in the Olympiad: one silver and two bronze.
Jacobo Arzate Hop, president of the Quintana Roo Sports Commission, attributed the success to early preparation, technical support, and improved training conditions for athletes.
Both divers, originally from Benito Juárez, trained under coach Gehanyuri González Calzado. They expressed gratitude to their families, coaches, and sports authorities for their support.
The state’s performance reflects a broader strategy under Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa’s New Agreement for Welfare and Development, which promotes sports as a tool for social development.
