PLAYA DEL CARMEN, MX — The Secretary General of the Municipal Government, Luis Herrera Quiam, has confirmed that all preparations are complete for the civic-sports parade commemorating the 115th anniversary of the Mexican Revolution, scheduled for this coming November 20. The event will feature the participation of more than 7,000 citizens organized into 46 contingents.
"This year we will have a historic parade, with the participation of more than seven thousand people including students, athletes, academics, and security forces, who will march with pride representing Playa del Carmen," the official emphasized.
The Secretary General explained that this event will bring together police elements, educational institutions, sports groups, and representatives of civil society, many of whom are distinguished for bringing honor to the municipality's name in state, regional, national, and international competitions.
"We invite all Playa del Carmen families to join us and enjoy this great parade, which honors one of the most important dates in our history," he stated.
Road Closures
Luis Herrera Quiam announced that, due to the parade, there will be road closures starting at 6:00 in the morning on November 20.
"We ask citizens to take precautions, plan their travel in advance, and use alternate routes. We thank you in advance for your cooperation so that this event can proceed in an orderly and peaceful manner," he indicated.
The closures include:
- Avenida 34, between calles 30 and 10 Norte, including the traffic filter at calle 20 with 34 Norte.
- Avenida 30 Norte, between Constituyentes and 34 Norte, which encompasses calles 22, 24, 26, 28, 30, 32, and 34 Norte.
- Avenida Constituyentes, between Avenida 30 and Calle 20 Norte.
- Avenida 20, between calles 4 and Constituyentes, including calles 18, 16, 14, 12 bis, 10 and 10 bis, 8, 6 bis, and 6.
- Calle 8 Norte, between Avenida 15 and Avenida 25 Norte.
