The Municipal Public Security Secretary of Solidaridad recently conducted a series of inspections, known as the "Bar Operation", in Playa del Carmen. These inspections were prompted by reports of drug sales, prostitution, and connections to organized crime within the area's nightlife establishments.
During the operation, seven bars were inspected, with no reported incidents. In addition, 190 individuals were checked by authorities and simultaneous raids were carried out.
The primary goal of the operation was to ensure the safety and peace of the local community, as well as the patrons of these nightlife establishments. This initiative underscores the commitment to maintaining security in recreational areas during the night, for both residents and visitors of the municipality.
