Cancún, Mexico — A new attack was registered against the La Palapita bar, Cielo Nuevo branch, in Region 249 on Tuesday night. According to initial reports, two men traveling on a motorcycle fired shots into the air repeatedly in front of the establishment, located in the Cielo Nuevo subdivision.
Witnesses indicated that the aggression occurred around 22:30 hours. Authorities confirmed there were at least five detonations from a short .22 caliber firearm. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Municipal and state security elements cordoned off the area and notified the State Attorney General's Office (FGE), which is now investigating the events. It is worth noting that this same bar was set on fire on June 22 of this year, so it is not ruled out that this is a new act of intimidation against the owner.
