Mexico City — Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum expressed her solidarity with U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday after a security incident at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, where the Secret Service evacuated Trump, his wife, and other senior officials following an unspecified threat.
In a post on X, Sheinbaum wrote: “It is good that President Trump and his wife are safe after the recent events. We send our respect. Violence should never be the way.”
Sheinbaum is on a working visit to the state of Hidalgo this weekend.
